This is the page dedicated to all my wonderful equine friends, past and present, without whom I would be nothing.

MGH Clover Street (aka Moose)

16.1hh Irish Sport Horse gelding 6 years

Moose has come all the way up from Devon, where he was being produced by Lucy Wiegersma and Padraig McCarthy.   He is a complete dude, suuuper chilled and easy-going but still forward to ride.   He is a very attractive mover with fab paces so hopefully as he develops and strengthens his flatwork will come together.

He has a very genuine and careful jump, and tries very hard to help me out as much as he can.  I can't wait to get him out cross country and for the season to begin, I aim for Moose to be CCI* qualified by October so we are eligible for Juniors in 2016, which is a HUUUGELY exciting prospect for me after years of dreaming of it!

Pic of him coming soon!

Oaklands Sagittarius (aka Brodie)

14.0hh grey Connemara gelding 11 years

Brodie is a real charatcer, cheeky and full of himself.  He was born to event and we have been competing at 105 cm.  Last season we competed at unaffiliated 100 and Pony Club Intermediate, however for dressage we represented the Pony Club at Open as he loves to show off and therefore can hold his ground against the horses!

Whispa  (sold)

14.2hh rose grey Irish mare 7 years

Whispa is very genuine, a really sweet-natured pony.  We bought her as a 5 year old and had her for 16 months.  She had simply hunted when we bought so she was a real project.  She has now done a season of 90cm events and is on the verge of stepping up to 100cm.  She did teams for the Pony Club as well as qualifying for the PC National Novice Dressage Championships as a 5 yo where she finished 16th out of 35 in good company.

Whispa finished the eventing season with a fabulous run at Longleat Two Day where she had one pole down show jumping then jumped clear and inside the time around a particularly meaty cross country course.  Over the autumn and winter she team chased and hunted to great success, proving herself to be a very versatile mare.

We have recently sold Whispa to a very good home where she will hopefully fulfill her potential as an FEI pony.

Recent results include:

Longleat 2DE- clear inside the time on all 4 phases of the endurance day

Foxcote ODE 85cm - 8th

Hartpury Dengie Show jumping  90cm qualifier - 6th

Summerhouse showjumping 90 and 95cm - 2nd

Dinsdale Magic Star (aka Magic) (Sold)

13.2hh liver chesnut Welsh x Arab gelding, now 14 years

I had Magic when I was nine and he was the pony who really taught me to ride.  He  was ridiculously gentle and sweet-natured.  He had a great jump in him and his dressage was very good for a pony, good enough to earn us a place on the Pony Club team that went to the Badminton Dressage final.  After masses of hard work with him (like all talented equines, he could be difficult), he rewarded us by winning our Area Eventing final, which Magic really deserved.

He was sold  in 2011 to a wonderful home, who are now having great fun and success with this sweet little pony.

Megan (Sold)

12.2hh bay roan Welsh mare, now 21 years

We got Megan when I was seven. She had literally done everything and was the second pony we owned. She was not keen on the dressage phase but was mad about jumping. She was quite a dozy pony, the type where if you kicked to get her into trot you would probably get a normal-speed walk.

She was a rosette machine though, and together we won around 85 rosettes in two years-she just always jumped double clear! Meg was a real sweet heart and would let you do anything with her. She did lull me into a sense of safety though, which Magic was quick to get me out of!

Megan was sold to the same people who have now bought Whispa, the Hilliards. They are a fantastic family who have excellent facilities and always keep us up to date with the ponies' outings.

Marigold  (Sold)

11.3hh palomino Welsh mare, passed away

Marigold was the first pony we owned, and she was wonderul. I was so lucky to have such a fantastic first pony who was utterly bomb proof.

The only thing she ever did wrong was bolt a few times, and even then she would only go in a straight line, being too ladylike to swerve or whip round. I found even this thrilling and I would be perched on top shreiking "Faster! Faster!" until she deigned to stop.

Everything that happened happened because she wanted it to; she was firmly in charge. She was more like an old nanny in personality than a pony, and she really looked after the five year old me.
